五个小技巧帮你制霸eBay购物周

Like the ringing of the opening bell on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, Black Friday has historically marked the beginning of the holiday shopping season. It’s also the day when retailers notoriously pull out all the s**s to attract holiday shoppers.

Just because Black Friday isn’t really the first day of the holiday shopping season for you doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take full advantage of the extra traffic coming your way. There’s just one catch: Black Friday has now morphed into Cyber Week. Millions of Americans will put down their pie forks on Thanksgiving, migrate to the couch, and start surfing for deals. We expect traffic and sales to spike on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday. You just need to be ready.

So, let’s talk about how to you’re going to rule Cyber Week:

1. Get festive with your eBay store. You should already have your holiday items listed. Now, it’s time to move into merchandising mode. You can do this by creating a holiday–related billboard image with Canva and showcasing your best holiday items in the Featured Listings space. If you don’t have a Store, you can create holiday collections to help shoppers get into the spirit.

2. Stand out from your competition. If you want more visibility for your multi-quanitity items this holiday, try eBay promoted listings. You only pay when your item sells. Also, depending on your seller level, you might already have a $25 promoted listings credit waiting for you. Just look in Seller Hub under the Marketing tab.

3.Conv** browsers into buyers with promotions: According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), almost 50% of consumers will be looking for free shipping or some other form of promotion this season. If you have an eBay Store, you can offer the promotions they’re looking for. Start by watching Part One and Two of our webinar series on the subject, and then decide whether you’ll run offers based on specific days like Black Friday or Cyber Monday, or if you’ll cast a wider net with a longer Cyber Week promotion.

4. Give a little, get a lot back. Giving Tuesday marks the beginning of the charitable season. It’s also a major event on social media. Consider using eBay for Charity to earmark a portion of your items’ proceeds for your favorite cause. Then, you can promote those items via social media and use the #GivingTuesday tag. You’ll benefit from the extra traffic, the tax deduction, and the warm-and-fuzzy feeling. Setup is easy – watch this video to find out how:

If you’re looking to make a name for yourself on eBay and attract repeat customers, there are two ways to achieve that this holiday: Use the eBay Holiday-themed branded shipping supplies, and include a quick note on our free printable Holiday greeting card. These small touches speak volumes in terms of trustworthiness and professionalism.

Also, just to put a little extra pep in your step, the NRF estimates the size of the 2016 Holiday sales opportunity to be in the nei**orhood of $655.8 billion. That’s a 3.6% increase over last year. Any extra effort you put into attracting buyers before, during, and after Cyber Week should be well worth your time. Happy selling!
